Wow... a lot has happened after my last post. First of I didn't feel much like being online, I was very depressed after loosing my precious Jared, I still miss him a lot. I thought that I would never be able to be happy again and I would never find a furbaby like him... and even though I will never get Jared back I did find a sweet new dobermann to love. He was only 5 months when his former owners didn't want him no more and returned him to his breeder. Luckily I know the people who share their life with his grandfather and they know how much I miss Jared and they asked me if I wanted to adopt this unwanted dobermann. He was 6 months when he came to live with me. His name is Russkaja Mechta Elbin Evgeni, yes, a very long name. Evgeni is the name he listens too, but of course it is Geni more often then not. 

 

When I wanted to tell you about him my computer broke down... luckily warranty was still on it and I got it back yesterday all fixed! I hope to be back into it all again soon.

Jared van Frieslands Glorie

June 9th, 1996 - March 13th, 2007

With broken heart I write this, my sweet Dobermann Jared was getting on in years and finally last Tuesday morning I had to make the hard decision. Monday afternoon his legs gave out completely for almost 20 minutes and after that my sweet gentle giant had given up. The sparkle in his eyes was gone and I knew that the only reason he kept going was me. I couldn't be selfish, even though I wanted him to be with me for so much longer I just couldn't see him suffer like that. So I made the appointment for the next morning with the vet. Of course a little part of me hoped that the vet would tell me that there was a cure for old age, but that was not to be. He died with his head on my lap being petted by me. I have been crying so much, I know that the decision to end his suffering was the right one but I miss him so much. My heart is broken.

Rest in peace my sweet Jared,
I'll always love you!
